WHAT TO WRITE
Some Points to Keep in Mind
Be honest. Some memories will be happy; some will be painful.
Decide how far you want to go, how much to share, but don’t shy away from the truth.
Take an unfiltered look at yourself and write honestly. You can always edit later.
Keep a sense of humor. Don’t be afraid to laugh at yourself.
Be you. It’s your story. Don’t compare it to anyone else’s.
I’ve provided prompts for you to write to (or voice record). Work through them at your own pace.
They are intended to spark memories. Skip those prompts that don’t inspire you.
If you decide to write a full memoir draft, these stories may help you shape your story,
or they may simply serve as snapshots of your life. You can decide that later.
Just save, save, save what you create.
If you're ready, click below to get started. Each box will take you to a different prompt.
You may respond to them in their number order, or you may select them randomly.
Just have fun!
